Currently, when we create a contact we send in geo IP location data acquired in the contact form through multiple platforms. It works pretty well but we know that a more recently updated location data would be valuable and that is captured by Maropost but not exposed on the contact record or in any way through the platform. It would be extremely useful to have access to that location data gathered during an open or click geo IP lookup.
What would having the location exposed enable you to do?
We store this information in a completely separate database, and not in the one that we use to store custom fields. Adding that data to the contact profile may be quite expensive given that the Maropost platform has millions upon millions of contacts across all our clients.
