The Layer Manager is very helpful to set the dimensions, typography, and decoration of Grid elements. As mentioned above, Grid elements displayed in the drag and drop editor are actually tables in the HTML code. Tables can be difficult to manage since some style attributes should be set with the table tag while other style attributes should be set with the table cell tag.
You can select the table and the cell in the editor canvas quite easily. However selecting the right table or right cell can prove difficult if you are placing Grids inside of other Grids for a more complex layout. The Layer Manager lets you see the specific HTML element that you’ve selected in the drag and drop editor canvas. If you’ve not selected the grid element that you intend to, then you can click the HTML tag in the Layer Manager. The element that you select in the Layer Manager will now be highlighted in the canvas.
In the example above, note that a table cell is selected in the canvas. The Layer Manager automatically expands to show the specific element in the document tree. Notice also that the Layer Manager shows what the cell contains by indicating its contents indented in the display with a light grey highlight.
