If your product has multiple variants (e.g. size and color), you'll first need to create the Attributes of each of the product variants. Each variant will have its own price, product image, SKU and inventory location.
Create a New Attribute
Select Products from the Main Menu. Then, click the Attributes icon located on the top right side of the Products index page. You'll now see the Attributes index page. Click the [+New Attribute Option] button on the top right side of the page.
Enter the name of the product attribute (e.g. Color, or Size).
Add as many values for the attribute as you want by clicking the [+Add Value] button.
For example, if your product comes in red, white, blue, and black color, then you will create an attribute called Color with four options -- one for each color.
Changing Attribute Options
The Attributes index page lets you edit an attribute to add, edit, or remove the options for an attribute. Click the three vertical dots on the right side of the page for the attribute you wish to edit. Then, click the Edit icon.
The Edit Attribute Option screen lets you change the name of the attribute option, and add, edit, and delete any of the attribute's options.
Add Product Variants
You will add the variants of your product from the product's details page. To view the product detail page, select Products from the Main Menu. Open the Action menu for a product by clicking the three vertical dots on the right side of the page and the clicking the View icon.
Scroll down to the Variants section of the page and click the [+Add Variant] button.
This section will show you the attributes you defined for this product when you created the product record the first time. Select the attribute option(s) you want for this product variant.
You cannot add more options to the product once you've defined them when you initially created your product.
Upload the product's images that will appear in the Order Forms and web store.
Enter the product of this product variant. You can also enter the optional compare price.
The price will be used for calculating price-based shipping charges, and sales tax (if applicable).
Enter the product variant's SKU and the inventory amount at each Inventory Location.
The Inventory Locations will have been created in the Admin settings.
Enter the product variant's weight and physical dimensions. The weight will be used when determining weight-based shipping charges.
