Follow this Setup Guide to get your Maropost for Commerce account fully configured for capturing online sales.
Payment Processing
The first step is to connect Maropost for Commerce to your merchant account(s) for capturing credit card payments.
Connect to Your Payment Gateway
Configure the connection to the payment gateway you use to capture credit card payments. Maropost for Commerce has connections to over 130 of the most popular gateways worldwide. If you don't see the one you use, please contact your Customer Success Manager.
Create a Payment Profile
You must create a payment profile before you can begin processing payments.
Do you have merchant accounts through multiple payment gateways? You can also use payment profiles to configure load balance rules to distribute the transaction processing between each gateway.
Sales Tax
As a merchant, you are responsible to know which jurisdictions you must collect sales tax for, as they apply to your business.
You can create different tax rate profiles for each country you do business in.
You can skip this configuration step if none of the products in your catalog are taxable anywhere.
Shipping Zones
Set up different shipping options for each of the countries you ship your products to. Shipping charges can be calculated based on total value of the cart (less discounts) or the total weight of the items in the cart.
You can skip this configuration step if you don't sell physical products in your catalog.
Inventory Locations
Will you be shipping products from your own warehouses? Create inventory locations and then assign the quantity on hand at each location you have for your products.
You can skip this configuration step if you are using a 3rd-party logistics provider, or if you don't sell physical products in your catalog.
Subscription Plans
Create subscription plans when you sell products with any type of recurring billing. Maropost for Commerce will automatically rebill your customers according to the schedule that you define.
Create different plans for how often the customer's card should be charged, when it should be charged, and whether you want to offer a free trial period on the subscription.
You can skip this configuration step if all your products are one-time purchases.

Start creating the products for sale in your catalog
Variant Options
Selling variants of the same product like color, and size? Create variants and options for each product SKU in your catalog.
Categories
Use product categories so that your customers can easily find your products in your web store. You can create a parent-child relationship between your categories to make navigation in your web store easy.
Product
Create your first product in your catalog. Set the description, price, SKU, and upload product images.
Select whether you have variants for your product, and whether you offer payment for your product as a subscription or installment.
Set whether the product is taxable or shippable, and whether you want Maropost for Commerce to automatically manage the inventory levels.
Web Forms
You are finally now ready to start capturing sales for products in your catalog.
Use web forms for capturing new orders. They are perfect as low-friction, high-conversion landing pages for your ad campaigns, web push notifications, and promotional emails and text messages.
