When can you expect this change?
We plan to bring this feature out to you on 18th August 2020.
What is the New Brand Campaign and List Safeguard?
Our new Brand Campaign and List Safeguard enforces any Campaign or A/B Campaign associated with a Brand, to only be sent to a corresponding Branded List.
Why did we add safeguard this feature?
This safeguard provides a better experience for you and your contacts! First, this safeguard makes it easier to find the corresponding branded list when setting up a branded campaign. Second, when branded campaigns are being sent to unbranded lists, contact unsubscribes were not being reconciled and honored. Not only is this a frustrating experience for your audience, but it can lead to a spike in SPAM reports.
For example, consider a scenario in which Customer A is in List 1 and Branded List 2. And, the customer unsubscribes to List 1. Currently, if you send Branded Campaign to List 1, the customer still receives the email despite having unsubscribed. This will no longer happen with our new safeguard!
How can you prepare for this change?
If you are only sending branded campaigns to branded lists – this will not impact your workflow whatsoever. In fact, finding your branded list will be easier when setting up the campaign!
If you’re currently sending branded campaigns to lists that are not branded, you will need to recreate a branded list with the appropriate contacts. For information on how to set up a branded list, see Brand Management.
